I just got my Temper a week or so ago. I'm not that new to RC, but this is my first crawler. The first thing I did was remove the foams entirely from all four tires. This made a decent difference in the capabilities. The mod with the biggest difference was switching the servo from the "front" axle to the "back axle". This effectively reversed the battery tray and put the majority of the weight in the front of the rig. I also put 1oz of weight in each front wheel, 1 oz in each back wheel, and 0.5 oz on the bottom of the servo mount. I greatly increased the capability to climb up and over obstacles, as well as getting rid of the torque twist going forward. It's like a whole new truck! And it only cost $5 for weights from my local hobby shop. The only problem I have is that the 1750 mah dynamite battery that I bought is a little too wide for the battery tray, so I've got it kinda wedged in there. Does anyone have any experience resolving this?
