What did you buy today?

I had been getting some here and there and everything was mismatched and to me seemed costly. So I scoured the internet and found a west coast company that had all I needed and more. Flat rate shipping is the only drawback so make big orders to last a year or so and it'll pan out in the end. Plus side is all the hardware is identical.

Mrmetric.com and they'll have 20% coupons every now and then that'll offset the shipping. Everything is individually bagged and labeled so I'll put them all in a shoe box and just poke around until I find what I need. I get all allenhead button heads unless I need something specific. I also got some m3 and m3.5 rods to cut down as hinge pins for my M.Rage I crashed at about 60mph and lost a few.

Ordered some Duratrax Deepwoods and a set of slightly stiffer springs for my Yeti 380. I've got a locked diff spool already and will attempt to prove to the naysayers that a Yeti can crawl. I'm going to drop to around a 2000kV motor and see what she can do. It just hangs on my wall and gets looked at all the time. Now to put it to use.

Scored two HobbyWing Quicrun 1060 ESCs tonight for $28 shipped. Now to swap the plugs for deans on the batteries or the plugs on the ESCs for the ECX NiMH.

Picked up a brushless cordless drill today. Excited to see how it fares. No hammer option, but it had more torque and mAh than their equivalent with the hammer option.

Ordered the needed parts to get my HobbyKing BSR M.Rage street car back running. Got a set of non ballooning foam tires, too. Hoping for a 50mph pass through a local parking lot. Lol. But the ship time is 15-39 days from Hong Kong.

Also ordered a 4 link kit for a set of RC4WD axles I have. I'm tired of fooling with these leaf springs. Also ordered some Twin Hammers front suspension rockers for the cantilever type shock setup. I'm hoping to use these to make a scaler hide regular sprung shocks.

Meditate, research, contemplate, research, order, wait, suspense of 'out for delivery', build, drive. Tear down and repeat. There should be a clinical name for the addiction so I can claim some of this on my insurance and taxes.

IMG_3842.JPG 1/18 Torment and a 30c venom lipo for my son to race on the indoor track. He got to use his gift certificate at the hobby shop for winning 1rst place in the kids group Summer points series. Fun little truck!
