i searched the whole forum and was amazed to find that this hasnt been asked yet
what is the difference between 3650,3660,3670,3674 motors i know its the dimensions of the motors width and length in mm but what are the performance differences for instance

if i have 4 motors, one of each size each with the same amount of motor turns (not kv i assume that would change between them due to size differences) and use the same esc with each motor what would be the performance differences between them also would a longer/shorter motor produce more heat than vice versa?

Normally longer = more torque and more current draw. I don't think they run hotter, they have more exterior area to dissipate heat so it's broadly similar. Your ESC and battery will run hotter because of the higher current though.

Each length can be higher or lower KV depending on how it is wound inside.

so if i used the 60a gool rc esc for both a 3650 and 3660 3500kv motor would they produce similar torque ratings or would the 3660 have a higher torque?

The 3660 should have higher torque, unless GoolRC is ripping you off. But I doubt that, their products seem to be "honest knock-offs" lol.

Basically you should choose an ESC that can comfortably (=without getting too hot) handle the current draw of the motor, so the motor is the limiting part in the performance. If your ESC is the limiting part, it will fry.
