Looking for some better shocks for my amp mt. Mostly run hard surfaces, dirt & pavement!!

What problem are you having? If you're running on hard surfaces, you want to fill your shocks with a more viscous (heavier/thicker) fluid, I'd recommend 380cSt (32.5wt Associated) in the front and 460cSt (37.5wt Associated) in the back.

The harder the surface and bigger the jumps, the thicker you need the shock oil to be. Looser/softer surfaces (like unpacked dirt) you'll want thinner oil.

The stock plastic ECX shocks on my cars have all had a slight "hourglass" shape- they seem to taped inward a little in the middle of the body. Because of this I'd recommend the ECX aluminum shocks. I've found the ECX aluminum shocks to be quite good. I've tried other brands, notably the Traxxas Big Bore shocks, but have come back to the ECX aluminum shocks. One modification I will recommend is to replace the stock o-rings with "x-rings" by Kyosho or Associated. The x-rings have a double ridge on each o-ring that effectively creates two contact seals for each o-ring. There is no noticeable increase in friction and they DO create a better seal and virtually eliminate visible weeping.
