    ruckus and Torment 1/18

Sounds like the axle rounded out the keyed end of the diff gear. Very common problem, don't replace it with stock parts unless you want to keep doing it. You may want to have a look at this thread for more info...

1:18 Ruckus Differential Problems and Upgrades Discussion

Nice. Maybe I will do the front on mine someday. I have it running strong but I have the steering turned down a little bit so the axles will stay in. And I already have the HR axles sitting in a box.

    Ruckus 1:18 sluggish action

Have you replaced the stock wheel bushings with bearings? How is the rolling resistance with the motor out of the truck? Maybe have some drag in the drive train?

    Paint techniques

Hey no problem. Would love to see how it comes out.

    What electronics are you running?

Same happened to me. Woke me up from the basement so the thing is loud.

    amp stock pinion gear

You are best off getting a temp gun and checking your esc and motor temps.

    No problem.

    1:18 Ruckus steering servo upgrade

Yes. I used the same servo saver. I may have had to change the servo saver gear but if I did the ruckus came with it. To waterproof it I used grease at the opening and either plastidip or liquid electrical tape in the seam of the case. Kind of like this here...

    1:18 Ruckus steering servo upgrade

Yes. And it still works great.

That's why they call him WoodiE.

1:18 Ruckus Differential Problems and Upgrades Discussion

I think I have stared at axles way too long to remember exactly what worked and what didn't but I would say for those the balls are too big for the diffs so they would need ground down which isn't fun.

    RC weinermobile

Too cool. I got to go in one of the real ones with my kids a few years ago. Looked it up and found they also made one on a losi 5t for a video.

Help me out with offsets on these JConcepts Choppers

The different offset on traxxas vehicles is on the 2wd versions only. So you could use a full set for 4wd or two pair of either fronts or rears to have the same width. The fronts would be wider.

    Gearing question.

I would for sure be checking temps with a temp gun. I think they will run too hot with stock gearing.

So much for water/dust resistant ECU

I was mostly pointing out that the plastic case isn't sealed and if they get a new esc and tape the sticker that is not going to protect it. I think silicone conformal coating is better than doing nothing, or using things like plastidip or liquid tape as some do. You are right it needs applied...

So much for water/dust resistant ECU

The plastic case is not what makes it water"proof" they inject the case with silicone and don't do a very good job at covering the whole thing. Water comes right in by the wires. If you want to actually waterproof your electronics look up silicone conformal coating. And be careful handling...

Can't wait for some snow! (3d printed snow tires)

Sure. The ones on the amp are a slightly smaller diameter, and the pink ones are more narrow because I printed them first and didn't know if they would hit anything. I may print another wide set but they work great for now, we tested the red amp in 8" of heavy wet snow and it sprayed snow and flew.

    1:18 4x4 Ruckus turning servo

I upgraded mine about a year ago when the stock one burnt up. It required a little notch to be cut out of the frame but works much better. https://ecxforum.com/threads/1-18-ruckus-steering-servo-upgrade.256/

    Amp suspension mount

Don't do it. I bet you would rather replace that again than whatever it is bolted to.

    Decent Brushed motor upgrade

I recommended a titan 12t for an amp over here and someone said it will fry the stock esc. https://ecxforum.com/threads/im-a-noobie.810/
