3900kv with 15T pinion?

Hi all, I have a 3900kv brushless kit coming in, along with a 60A esc (fan cooled). I have a new 15T pinion and a 7s NiMH I plan on using. I just want to know if it will work or if it will run too hot. (Spur is 87T) Thanks.

I would get 2s lipo batteries and run with a 16 tooth pinion 15 is a little small

Kyle is right, you would be better off with a 2s LiPo battery and larger pinion. To answer your question no ut wont get any hotter then what the motor runs. Brushless mortors run warm anyway. I put fans on everything that gets warm just to.be safe, call it over kill if you want.
