Barrage BTD Initial Upgrades?

Hello again from Mongolia ECX Fans,

I will likely be getting the Barrage BTD kit as a trial into RC scale crawling. It takes 2 weeks to a month for orders to get to me, so I would like to get anything I need with the initial order.

For my son's Amp kit, for instance, I ordered a better servo and a sealed bearings set so he can take care of the main short comings I've read about straight away as he builds it. Should I also get the RPM servo saver eliminator?

For those who have built and run the Barrage BTD kit, what are the necessary changes to build it better right out of the box? Could you also recommend good crawling wheels and tires to get for it. I think I would like to have one set for indoor use and one set for outdoor use.

Should I also get the RPM servo saver eliminator?

I just used superglue on my stock SS. I also hear of people using a zip-tie around the SS to firm it up. All of these options will destroy the stock plastic gear servo first crash. A metal gear servo is required.

I'm going to give this inexpensive servo from RC Juice a go. https://www.rcjuice.com/servos/serv...ard-digital-servo-high-torque-waterproof.html Torque looks more than adequate and it's waterproof.
