Brushless upgrade for ECX Torment?

Looking to upgrade my torment to a brushless system. Any suggestions on what motor/ESC to go with? Not looking to spend a fortune so don't need the best of the best. Just something dependable. Probably stay with 2S Lipo. I run my car couple times a month if I'm lucky. Also what other parts would i need to upgrade, and how would you prioritize them? Wouldn't mind spacing out the purchases for financial reasons if I could. Thanks in advance for the advice, always get great feedback in this forum.

@jtomlin1973 if you haven't already - I would take a close look at the Castle SCT combo.

It's a very capable combo that's designed for short course trucks and waterproof to boot!

You could go with a Hobbywing or even GoolRC waterproof setup. My Ruckus is running a GoolRC setup on 2s and doing great.

I've had two of the smaller GoolRC combos - rebranded as RacerStar from Banggood.com. Both of the ESC's failed after getting a bit wet. I would not even call them splash-resistant. The motors are great, though.

My 2 combos were the F540 (3000kv) with 45a esc, and the 2828 4500kv, with the 35a esc.
