Hex hubs and pins

Can you use rock crawler hex hubs and pins on a 2wd or 4wd short course truck im having a issue with my current metal cvd set up . Had to switch to 4mm flange nuts and i my hex pins didn't seem to fit in my 12mm hex hubs. Do i need to get 14mm hex hubs and pins now. But what bout my tires hex they're 12mm !!

Switch to a different 12mm hex. I put Axial alum hexs on my Boost. I cannot stand having hexs that do not screw or clamp on.

So are the pins in a 2wd and 4wd different sizes
