Losi Pro battery/servo plate

The Losi pro carbon fiber battery/servo plate fits perfect (no surprise). Had to drill an extra mount hole for a standard servo (setup for a mini size). Works wonders if you’re trying to get a heavy battery off the stock tray. Battery capacity is obviously limited now but it performs much better. that's a 600mah 2s on there.

Cool. Thanks! I've wondered how much of the Losi mini crawler is compatible with the Termper.

I've modified my Temper for 4WS and even with the stock servos (which are wimpy) I've noticed a little flex and deflection in the stock drag link. When I eventually upgrade to stronger metal geared servos...

And I've got plenty of the Traxxas rod ends already in my parts box.

Yep I hated the flex from the stock plastic drag link. You will love the aluminum ones, front and rear would be cool with the 4ws. And yes a good servo is a must! I usually run something overkill just cus Lol

What servo and servo horn are those?

Trying to squeak out every bit of ability this thing has in it. Added the losi battery tray mentioned in this thread- props to @Mxkid261 for the inspiration.

Next up- waiting on some carbon tubing I found to make internal limiters for the HR shocks. I'd like to see it sit a bit lower. Tried adapting an ink pen housing, but it was about a millimeter too thick and bound up just past the threads on the shock cap...20180507_194535-01.jpeg 20180505_094642-01.jpeg

Thanks! It goes just about anywhere my buddies Losi MRC Pro does. I plan on 4 linking eventually. The servo link is the stock rod with traxxas rod ends, and the drag link is from hot racing for the losi mini crawler. Using 3mm hardware also.

Is the fraglink a direct fit?

I have those same air shocks and found some nice stiffer internal springs that are direct fit

Looks good. The servo/battery plate help a good amount. I am now 4 linked running G-Made R1 shocks drooped. 4 link is the golden ticket. Drives completely different.

I think those gmade shocks are the answer to what I was going for- thank you!
Also, 4 link brass plate is sweet, but what did you do up front?

Sure thing, I will get some more pictures tonight for you. I have the same plate up front which is bolted underneath the servo plate. Just cut them out of brass I had laying around, I didn't even buy anything had crap laying around. I just used all thread for now, but I want to bend some nicer links (full droop I have slight contact with shock body). Haven't been driving it much lately since its boat season again. Be careful since the 1/10 shocks use 3mm hardware, which will NOT thread into the shock mounting tab on the axle's. I threaded the 3mm screws through the tabs knowing the plastic would split open, which they did. I then just JB welded around that. I'll get you some more pictures later.

Heres some more pics.

Thanks for taking the time to post these, it's a huge help!

What's the most noticable improvement you've seen by switching to 4 link?

Also found these by accident after looking at a recommendation for bodiless chassis options from JC Auto Design (http://www.jcautodesign.com/karnage-jr-chassis.html). JCAD is not producing this chassis anymore, but pointed me to Billet Works Design, who have a couple interesting chassis options:

http://www.billet-works-store.com/bwd-mrc-servo-mount-w-battery-guard/

http://www.billet-works-store.com/mrc-wedge-rr-link-mt/

Here I thought I'd save money by not buying a moa crawler...

Ya no problem. Yep I've seen all that stuff but a lot of those guys don't stock any 1.9 mini crawler parts anymore. The billet works stuff was non existent for a few years now, he must have started making stuff again. It was all listed as out of stock for the longest time, doesn't look to be the case now. If you are on the RC crawler forums there are other guys that make chassis' like that. My buddy has a similar chassis to the JC design on his Losi MRC.

Have a look through here, this guy makes some nice stuff. I'm eventually going to get the adapters he sells to run AR60/Wraith axles. The weighted knuckles are awesome.

Thanks for the info! Just ordered that SuDu chassis, cant wait to see how many Temper parts can be made to transfer over... Def going to need some links

Awesome. The chassis is basically universal for the 1.9 Mini class. Everything you have should work fine. I'd guess the only thing that may be different is where the holes in the skid are located for the transmission, but that's easy to solve if need be.

Did you ever install that Dravtech chassis? Once it started getting cold here in Wisconsin I got my temper back out. I just ordered a skid plate for the old Gatekeeper chassis duratrax used to make. Going to try and build it into an MRC Pro essentially. BWD is stocking parts again so if this doesn't go as planned than I'll probably buy his Wedge 2.0 chassis.
