New member here, looking for some worldly knowledge. I installed a brushless 4000kv motor combo in my Amp DB this afternoon and gave it a test run out in the street. OMG, what a power difference. Parked it after running it for five minutes in anticipation for the backyard track after dinner. Sad to say that the drivetrain gave out after less than ten minutes of running the track. It looks like the drive cup/axle failed. The drive shaft is turning but the wheel isn’t. Yes, the pin that goes through the axle and snaps into the wheel hex is still there. I think what I need is an upgrade that’ll handle the power. I looked online but didn’t find anything that made me confident to shell out the cash. Does anyone know of an upgrade that’ll definitely work? Thanks.
