Torment battey sizes

Thanks in advance, new to the Rc world, bought my son a beginner ecm torment and I was wondering what is the best battery to run. It came with a 7.4 1800 20c. Can I buy a bigger battery and not harm the truck.

Yes you can buy a battery with more capacity. An average size 5000mAh 2S LiPo hardcase battery is 138.5mm x 47mm x 25mm (L x W x H). The thumbscrews/battery strap should allow for some "wiggle room".

Just remember with longer run times comes the potential for more heat to build up.

Longer run times and brushed motors don't seem to do very well (they burn up). Keep a eye on the temp of the motor try to keep to keep it below 160F but better yet below 150F to be safer.
