Water damage

Hi all. Hope you dont mind me posting. My son has an Amp ECX which he loves. Unfortunately he took it on the beach recently and through some water too many times and has stopped working. When I switch it on it just moves the steering arm at the front a little bit at a time.

I was going to by a new ESC receiver unit for it but at £35 I just wanted to check this is the most likely cause of the issue.

What do you think?

Thanks SO much for your help - really appreciate it.

All the best

Yes, the ESC/ receiver is likely your culprit. If you call up horizon they will likely replace it for you. Though if it were me, I would likely gloss over the water details and just give them the details of the failure.

Salt water corrosion. Also check all connections at the receiver, the bullet connectors between the ESC and motor.

With the corrosion, even the replacement ESC not work? The bullet connectors seem well sealed I think. Thanks
