Yes, I'm using 32p gearsAre those 48p gears because I’m wondering how you even managed to fit 18/54 t in there (stock is 87t spur.)
For a good bashing setup on 3500kv I would say use stock spur with 19-21t pinion depending on temps. With this gearing you will most likely reach speeds of 40mph and I noticed if I have my motors geared for lower temps they usually go right around 40mph anyway. If you want speed just see what the biggest one will fit but watch temps.
I currently run and race 3000kv on 23t pinion with stock spur. It doesn’t get that hot considering how long I run it. In the summer it’s usually a different story, like can I withstand the heat?!
I'll clock it tomorrow and I'll let you knowWith that gearing, how is it not hitting 40? That's much higher gear than stock, and larger tires. How fast are you going now? You using 2s I'm assuming? A 12t pinion with your spur would be about the ratio of comes stock. I went down a tooth on the pinion with 2.8s and a 3100kv. Haven't used a gps on it, but I'm sure it's well over 30.
No speed runs or bashing for today buddy. One of my trans gear set stripped. The middle gear stripped when I finally got the trans open to check things out. With that gearing, how is it not hitting 40? That's much higher gear than stock, and larger tires.
