AMP MT Spur

Hi,

My AMP MT has a stripped spur but I can’t find a replacement (ECX 1076 I assume) in the UK.

I would prefer a metal one if possible? Is there a part from another model that would work?

I could remove the slipper clutch if needed? This is for a brushless conversion.

Hi guys, it's been a long time since I started a thread.
I managed to strip my Associated 32p spur gear last week, and my spare stock 48p too ( though I had good time...) It's been working flawlessly since I installed it, and was totally my fault. Tight slipper, lots of wheelies, thugowar, pushing doors and children in their bikes, dogs chasing and that sort of things, you know.
I'm looking for the same spur gear here in Spain, and a LHS owner told me that it's discontinued. Besides the price, it's very hard to get here, last time I got it from USA (Amain or Tower, not sure)

Your stock one does fit all ecx 1/10 scale 2wd models. Its 87 teeth and 48 pitch

Hot Racing is the only company I know of that makes a metal spur for it. SECT877 is what you’re looking for. They also make 85, 83, and 81T configurations for gearing choices. You re-use your stock slipper with this, just buy new pads. I recommend glueing them to the spur, roughing up the metal pads with coarse sand paper, and eliminating the nylon lock nut and going to a double nut with loc-tite. A good start point I use is tighten until the spring completely binds then loosen 1/4 turn.
