...for my "garbage can find"!
Last week I was riding around the neighborhood with my fam and spied a quadcopter sitting on top of an overstuffed garbage can. I slowly looped back around for a closer look and... the thing looked intact and okay. Continued on the ride. Coming back later the quadcopter was still there. Wife suggested I ask the homeowners if I could take some of their trash. It was dusk and the house was dark- nobody home. So I grabbed the 'copter. Then I noticed the transmitter was sitting on the ground by the garbage can partially obscured by another bag of trash. And... there was a little baggy with the spare props and instructions! What??
So I snagged everything and rode off into the diminshing sunset.
It's an UDI R/C U818a-1. The airframe is bent and warped but the thing flies with no problem! There was already a battery installed so I bought a parallel charging cable and five more batteries. (Flight time is a measley 5 minutes per battery.)
