Ecx ruckus 1/10: wheels don’t move with resistance

Put it on the bench, take the gear cover off and give it a little throttle. If it all turns then hold both rear wheels and do the same. Look at the pinion hear on the end of the motor and the spur gear. Are they turning normally? Look at the slipper clutch and listen when you give it throttle - what’s happening? How tight is the slipper? Crank it down right to eliminate that for testing.

It is possible to break the gears inside either the idler or the differential, but it’s usually the spurgear that fails first.
That said, running with one missing hex pin would spin the diff really fast and you could have stripped it.
Try this. With the gear cover off hold the spur gear and turn one wheel. The other should turn the opposite direction. Now hold the other wheel and try it. You should be able to tell if it’s slipping the diff or something else.

Hello,

I have an ECX Torment 1/18, and after the last ride, it stopped moving. I fully charged a new battery, but when I turn it on, the car doesn't move, although the connection sound of the remote and the controller is there. When I press the throttle, the car makes a jerk but something seems to block it, and the wheels don't turn, even when I try to move it by hand. Please help me resolve this issue.

Thank you
