looking to buy/install a new metal gear steering servo in my 2wd ruckus

curious if there are any other steps involved after installing/centering the new servo since i have the version with AVC
will i need to re bind or re calibrate?
thanks

next RC i get will probably not have AVC

First and foremost you need to make sure you get a DIGITAL servo. An analog servo will not work as well and (according to Spektrum/Horizon Hobby) may overheat.

And yes, you should recalibrate the receiver. It's easy and takes just a few seconds.

Finally... just get whatever servo and turn off AVC. What transmitter are you using? If it's a DX2E then you're not really getting complete access to all that AVC has to offer and may as well just go without.

Since I race I don't use AVC or similar systems (electronic stability/traction control systems are not allowed) and I've gotten used to full manual control. Now, whenever I've tried a car with AVC or other stability technology the car just feels "dead" to me.
