I built this a while ago, but finally got a chance to drive it at my local outdoor medium grip clay track. What a fun truck to drive. Here's the run down.....
*Hobbywing QR10BL120 sensored ESC
*Maclan 13.5t sensored motor
*Traxxas 2075 servo with Savox 0251 Steel gears (It's the only servo I had that would fit. Don't judge me! )
*76/27 (Kimbrough spur, nylon pinion)
*ECX stadium truck wheels dyed yellow with RIT dye
*JConcepts body and wing
*RPM a-arms
*JConcepts 2.2 Sprinter tires front
*Proline Holeshot M3 rear tires
*ECX aluminum threaded shocks with front Losi 2.0 green springs - 35wt Losi oil. Rear Losi blue 2.5 springs - 30wt Losi oil
*Front -2° camber, +1° toe out
*Rear -1° camber, -3° toe in
*Traxxas Slash 4x4 driveshafts
*Traxxas Slash 2WD front spindles
* Hot Racing servo saver eliminator
The truck actually drives pretty well. The steering is a little weak. I moved the 5200mah 2s battery forward to get a little extra steering. It jumps surprisingly flat like this. Great traction. Gotta love Rear motor on a medium traction track! The mid motors were struggling to get traction. It drives very smooth and takes the bumps with ease.
I had the fast lap. The guy next to me asked me what truck I was driving and when I told him a ECX Circuit he didn't believe me. He later came over to my pit table to take a look. His jaw dropped when he saw it really was a ECX.
I plan to take the Savox 1257 out of my retired TLR SCT and throw it in the Circuit. I need a faster servo with more steering throw. I still need more weight up front to get better steering, so I'm going to put 1/2oz of lead weight in front of the servo. The truck tends to push on certain corners.
