I bought a boost roller on ebay for 30 bucks and came with these wheels and tires, back tires have foam inserts and and very good traction, I can do wheelies now.

Future upgrades include a brushless system and metal gears, maybe a better driveshaft to accomodate the added power.

So, what do you think?

Kind regards/

Nice! On my boost, I installed 3mm spacers between the upper and lower mounts on the shocks. This allowed the shock to use the inner-most mounting hole on the shock tower. (I also had to use longer screws.)

I tried to use the inner holes but the shock collided with the shock tower, dind't think of something like your idea, I'll try one of these day, thank you!

I stripped the hex screws for the gear cover, had to slot them and remove them with a flathead :( Can I run the car without the gear cover?

Here are some pics during the motor installation.

Can you? Yes. Should you? No. You will likely get things stuck between the gears causing issues. Ofcourse that also depends on where and how you drive it. ;)

Well, I really love the brushless setup, the car screams now.

Unfortunately I broke one shaft :( Time for a metal upgrade.

I run that same motor in my #2 rc.. its alright.. its the car I let my friends drive as its a little tame for me.. If you want something crazy the castle sct 3800kv will blow your mind.. as for metal tranny gears there a must for a brushless system.. your living on borrow time with plastic gears.. for metal driveshafts I've went through 2 sets of hot racing ones.. stay away from those.. I'm looking into other options myself.

Make sure you set your slipper clutch correctly! You can't go with the default of "tighten until locked and then back off two turns."

Slamming it to the ground and electronics relocation.

Tomorrow I will be installing the full metal gear transmission and metal driveshafts.

Anything I should upgrade before I run a 3s?

Lowering the height really changed the handling, steers much better and no longer does crazy wheelies.

Here is the metal transmission installation:
