I bought my truck used. I had run it about a dozen times before this happened. I'd never oiled anything. I got a few questions:
- Is this a common failure for ECX AMPs?
- I was suspicious of the transmission case at first. Is the gear case prone to failure like twisting or crushing to cause rubbing on gears?
- Would it be worth replacing the stock gears with a metal set?
- If the metal set is prone to failure, should I just replace with a stock set and try to seal the trans case?
- Also, does anyone have any aftermarket recommendations?
