Finally got around to putting electronics in my Dinky RC chassis. Ran it on the rocks the weekend. Was a great deal of fun.
That is super sweet looking! Any issues with mounting up the Redcat portals besides having to figure out the link lengths?I ended up just measuring what length links i needed for the wheelbase I wanted to run and ordered some from rc4wd. It turned out really good
Damn all I gotta say tbh I didn't really like the gen 1 once this 2 came out but I appreciate yours is all that compatible with gen 2? An if so can you send a list of partsNice rig, what is that like an 800mah pack? My buddy just put a losi carbon battery plate on his gen 2 and is looking for batteries. Battery on axle works great, Ive been running that way for a couple years. Here is my gen 1. I use smaller 500mah packs

That would be great an do you have any suggestions for the CV axles the pin keeps falling out an I even heat shrinked around the bootYes everything is interchangeable. I am running temper gen 2 axles (from my old barrage gen 2, same axles), barrage driveshafts, and barrage links. I am also running the barrage transmission. My wheelbase is slightly longer than a gen 2 temper since I am using the barrage links. Also running the Dinky RC over-the-axle steering setup. I can get you updated pictures of the truck. It just sits on the shelves now as I have built a 2.2 sporty axial capra based truck.
I do recall having that issue at one point, I put a small dab of super glue on the cv over each end of the pin. At some point I would like to try some of these Punk's 3D C-hub adapters to run axial knuckles and shafts. Opens up a lock of options for weighted knuckles then too. I will get some updated pictures later of how the truck sits as of now. That would be great an do you have any suggestions for the CV axles the pin keeps falling out an I even heat shrinked around the boot
Here’s a couple updated pictures. Gen 1 Temper chassis and skid with Barrage Gen 2 axles, driveshafts, and links. Yeah Racing 90mm shocks with a droop setup. Wheelbase is 10.5”, ground clearance to bottom of skid is 1.5”. Also running the Dinky RC Temper gen 2 over-the-axle steering setup with servo/battery tray. that's about it. Hobbywing 1080 esc for power. I use a small 550mah 2s on the front axle. That would be great an do you have any suggestions for the CV axles the pin keeps falling out an I even heat shrinked around the boot
