Hi all, was hoping that my first owner post would be a positive one but it is not to be.
I bought a used 1/10 from ebay and its not in as 'good condition' as it was described.. I should have known better.
I have not had chance to use it yet, preliminary checks have highlighted problems that need sorting before I ruin my first RC experience in more years than I care to remember.
First very obvious observation is that the wheels seemed to be very loose, play while rocking top to bottom was about 1/2" and you could pull them in and out the carrier about 1/4"
removing the hexes reveals them to be quite chewed up, I was about to order some cheap alloy ones, but they appear to have a raised lip on the pin side and my current ones have remnants of a lip but nothing like the replacements I have seen. should they have or is it just that the lip has been chewed off? are there any that I should be thinking of rather than the £4 sets on ebay?
I am also going to need wheel bearings, is there a generic kit for these or again, are there upgrades worth shooting for from the get go.
Apologies in advance for the pestering that will ensue until I get back up to speed with the rc world.
