I don’t get it, maybe cause mine are a few years older, but I have been using stock esc in both and have upgraded batteries to 3s and they are both banshees. Never re programmed anything but low voltage cutoff. Actually had to slow down the acceleration cause all I would do was backflips when punching the throttle.

Yeah is a strange one, I did find a thread started by X where he warned about this. Unfortunately I got it too late! Strangely it seems the brushed esc can take a 3s lipo.
I think it's to do with warranty claims I guess ecx wanted to limit the damage you could do as my torment is pretty quick (30 mph?) just on a 7 cell nimh! With a 3s lipo it would be much quicker!
Oh well I guess I will just have to settle to not constantly break my car!
