Extreme Newbie with an over asked question and honestly no clue.

Why get a nitro powered car? Why not stick with electric?

Sweating over the amount of cash spent on a hobby is a losing proposition. If that's a legit concern, then you should be taking up gardening or something. How much do you spend on nitro fuel for that Losi? :)

Honestly, i spent more when i was gardening. LOL water isnt free.

What one person spends on their RC is their problem and no one else's. No one on this site can fairly judge as I'm sure all of us have evidence of our vices. :D

For instance, I spend alot of money on beer each month. It's very good beer and I enjoy it, but I'm sure alot of people would look at me like I'm crazy because of it. But guess who drinks it....me and my friends.

So I raise a glass of my best brew to all you awesome crazy people on this site, keep doing what you love! :D

/end off topic rant.....haha

Only the stock ESC/RX combo unit will work with the little stock remote. Your options are:
1) get another one of those combo units (ECX13006),
2) get a better ESC (e.g. Hobbywing 1060) and the ECX13003 separate receiver,
3) get a better ESC and a new radio system (e.g. Flysky GT3C or Austar AX5).
